Youth Sports in Columbus
Columbus and Phenix City Love Baseball and Softball
Home of the 2006 Little League World Champs – It is great to be world champion of anything.
Phenix City had the 1999 National Little League Champs as well but lost to Japan in the World Series
We hosted the 1996 Olympic Softball in Columbus.
We have High School teams that compete in baseball on the national level as well.
Columbus State University won the Division 2 College World Series and was runner up in 2007.
In addition to Baseball and Softball – Soccer is growing in popularity and is fast overtaking baseball and football. There is a major emphasis on youth sports in our area
